Purchasing AOP Homeschool Products With Odyssey

Homeschooling families in Wyoming, Georgia, Louisiana and Utah have a new state education funding platform and digital wallet for the 2025/26 school year, and in each of these states, AOP is an approved vendor. The new digital wallet connects families, state agencies, and approved vendors, like AOP, through a single dedicated platform for funding applications, funds distribution, educational purchases, and making payments.

Odyssey’s main features include:

  • Digital wallets for each student

  • A marketplace with pre-approved vendors

  • Customer support

Only pre-approved vendors appear in Odyssey’s marketplace, and as Odyssey is new to AOP, there may initially be some inconsistencies in how products are categorized. Each state offers some type of tutorial designed to help families navigate the platform, but the simplest solution for shopping AOP may be to use the marketplace search tool, rather than categories.

By clicking the search tool to search by product, you can search by “AOP” or “Alpha Omega Publications,” “ICA” or “Ignite Christian Academy,” “LIFEPAC,” or “Horizons.” These search criteria will ensure your AOP products can be found.

Odyssey doesn’t offer the reimbursement option many other digital wallets include, so currently, products may only be purchased through the marketplace.

State Snapshots

In Wyoming, the Steamboat Legacy Scholarship ESA is now managed through Odyssey. Students in preschool through grade 12 are eligible to apply and parents will use the Odyssey platform to apply, shop, and pay. When funding is released, applicants will be notified.

In Louisiana, Odyssey manages the Louisiana GATOR Scholarship program. Families can access the GATOR vendor marketplace through Odyssey, and use the funding to shop the pre-approved marketplace items. Funds have been released and families can make purchases on the marketplace.

Odyssey was selected by the Georgia Education Savings Authority (GESA) to administer the Georgia Promise Scholarship, launching in the 2025-26 school year. Similar to the other states, parents can use the Odyssey platform to apply, manage funding, and make purchases via the vendor marketplace. Funds have been released and families can make purchases on the marketplace.

Previously using Class Wallet, Utah has transitioned to Odyssey as well, and funding should be released via the new platform in late August. Similar to the other states, families will use Odyssey to apply, manage approved funds, shop, and pay. In Utah, there are some options for tuition integration and reimbursements for pre-transition expenses and other eligible purchases not in the marketplace.

As state education funding for homeschool continues to evolve, AOP will continue sharing updated information to help families make the most of the funds available for homeschooling.
