Colors of Salvation Craft

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Salvation is truly an amazing gift through the grace for God. To teach your children about salvation, use this simple 3-step lesson on the colors of salvation that includes reading related Bible verses, making a simple handmade (pun intended) craft, and singing a song.

STEP 1 - Introduce the Colors of Salvation through Bible Verses

Black = Sin
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Red = The Blood of Jesus
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

White = Purity
“Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow” (Psalm 51:7).

Green = Growth
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen” (2 Peter 3:18).

Yellow = Heaven
“The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold…The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass” (Revelation 21:18,21).

STEP 2 - Trace your hand or your child’s hand on a piece of paper and glue pom pom balls on each finger using each of the five colors.

STEP 3 - Sing the “Gospel Fuzzies” song.
