Your Monarch Back-to-School Checklist
Before you dive into your first lessons, take a few minutes to set yourself up for a successful school year.

Get to know Monarch. Check out the Monarch Video Library for quick tutorials that show you how to complete common tasks.

Get everyone ready to learn! Whether you're setting up Monarch for the first time or returning for another school year, assigning courses is one of the first steps to getting started. Once your courses are assigned, your students can log in and begin their lessons with confidence.

Make your calendar work for you. Setting up your school calendar is one of the best ways to make Monarch work for your family's schedule. Review the pre-populated holidays. These holidays are fully editable, so you can customize them to fit your school calendar.
Next, add any family vacations, holidays, or other planned days off. Simply mark them as a No School event, and Monarch will automatically adjust your student's assignment schedule. And if your plans change during the year, that's okay! You can update your calendar at any time, and Monarch will adjust your student's schedule accordingly.

Manage Academic Settings. Monarch comes ready to use with default grading settings, but you can customize grade scales and assignment weights to fit your family's needs. Adjust settings for an individual student or customize them by course, whatever works best for your homeschool.

Stay up to date, explore what's new in Monarch. Visit the Feature Releases page to see what's new and discover enhancements that can make managing your school ear even easier.

Know where to find help. Whenever you have a question, simply click the ? in Monarch to access the Resource Center. You'll find getting started guides, how-to articles, video tutorials, and answers to common questions, all without leaving the platform.
